Music festival at village

A music festival will be taking place at Coningsby this weekend.

Starting on Friday, the Alchemy Festival will feature three days of music and entertainment in a Wildlife Reserve in Lincolnshire.

This will take place on six stages - the Kaplick Solar Stage, Liberty Stage, Mushroom Stage, Philopsher's Stone Stage, Psychedelic Breakfast Tent, Undertone Bass Culture Tent - and will contain more than 100 bands.

It will be headlined by Zion Train, Back To The Planet, Here and Now, Zubzub, Rythmites, RDF and Wickaman and RV.

Entertainments will include the du Manc nicknamed 'Mancy Circus' which promises the weird and the wonderful and the beautiful and the bizarre.

With acts ranging from beat-boxing didgeridoo-playing comedians and everything in between it asks audiences to expect fire and freaks, and the odd bearded-lady.

Street-theatre group Earthbound Misfits will be holding a DIY caberet in the circus/Parkour workshop area, from 5pm on the Saturday,

They invite people to show their party piece, which, in the past has included circus skills, magic tricks, front room gymnastics with dad, freaky body parts, a rollie pollie, and Colin the balancing rubber chicken.

The festival will also feature a free children’s area, workshops and activities, a healing area, fireshows and firepits and refreshments.

Tickets cost £60 including camping, £12 Under 16 and £140 for a family.
