A BUDDING playwright from Boston High School has been given the chance to show her skills on a national stage, after she was shortlised in a major UK competition.
Sixth form student Anna Slevin is one of just 10 people to have been shortlisted in the New Views competition, which is run by the National Theatre.
Anna’s play, which is called Generation Lost, will be pitted against other 30-minute pieces which have been written by students from some of the best schools in the UK, including Eton and St Olave’s.
The play will be read in rehearsal at the National Theatre, along with the other 10 finalists’ work before a final winner is chosen by the judging panel.
The successful playwright will see their play staged in the unique setting of Westminster Hall at the Houses of Parliament on July 11.
