New £40 million pipeline plans go on view to public

PROPOSED pipeline plans from Covenham Reservoir to Boston have been displayed to the public.

The plans for the £40 million scheme proposed is to construct a new pipeline which will carry safe drinking water from the Coverham Reservoir into Boston.

The initial plans of the pipeline falls over the A16, Louth Canal, and and farmland.

The plans have been on display at Louth Town Hall.

Programme manager Steve Swan stressed the works would cause ‘minimal’ disruption to members of the public.

“All main roads will be drilled underneath and the public will face minimal disruption,” he said.

“We are always available for any concerns that the public may have.”
