A NUMBER of Lincolnshire figures have been recognised in this year’s New Year honours list, which was revealed on New Year’s Eve.
Lincolnshire Police Chief Constable Richard Philip deJordan Crompton was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal for his service to the force in the honours.
Also, receiving an OBE (Order of the British Empire), in this year’s list were Jacqueline Howell, executive officer of the Jobcentre Plus in Lincolnshire and Ursula Frances Rosamond Lidbetter, DL, chief executive of the Lincolnshire Co-operative, who received the award for services to business in Lincolnshire.
Timothy Roy Wakeman, chief executive and chairman of Performance Timber Products Group was given an MBE (Member of the British Empire) for services to the joinery manufacturing industry.
Honours are delivered by the Queen twice a year - once at New Year and again in mid-June on the Queen’s official birthday.
