North Sea Camp absconder arrested in Nottingham and charged with robbery

A NORTH Sea Camp absconder wanted in connection with a robbery at a post office in Scunthorpe has been arrested in Nottingham and charged with the offence.

Humberside Police said Eithan Teanby, 40, was arrested by police in the city centre in the early hours of Sunday, June 3, and was taken in to custody at Nottingham Police Station.

Mr Teanby was wanted by Humberside Police in connection to the robbery at the East Common Lane Post Office, in Scunthorpe, on Monday, May 21.

He was also charged with an attempted robbery at a Santander Bank in Nottingham, a robbery at a Halifax Bank in Nottingham on Wednesday, May 30, and two counts of possession of a bladed article.

Mr Teanby had been on weekend release from the Freiston when the Scunthorpe incident occurred. He was due to return that night but failed to do so.

Nottinghamshire Police and North Lincolnshire officers worked together on their inquiries into the Scunthorpe robbery and detectives in North Lincolnshire thanked the media for their assistance.
