LETTER: The brave Calendar Girls ladies were fantastic

Several members from my WI went to see the recent production of Calender Girls which Boston Playgoers put on at Blackfriars Theatre.

What a a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

For me personally it was the best show I have seen at Blackfriars and I enjoyed it far more that the show in the West End. Laughter from beginning to end.

What brave ladies. I hope they will not mind me saying they did not have svelte-like bodies and made us all feel so much better about ourselves.

They had us in tears of laughter and at times with a lump in our throats and that is not easy to get over.

Miss October cleverly made the word mum into ‘wow’ and that described it all.

Congratulations and very well done to every one who had a part in the whole production.
