Pedalling to raise pounds for Butterfly Hospice

'Big Bike Ride' in aid of the Butterfly Hospice in Boston. Workforce Unlimited sponsored the event and donated the 2 bikes for the raffle prize. Laura Nicholson and Keelie Cook from Workforce Unlimited along with Mick Peak (Maria Peak from Workforce Unlimited's dad) completed the bike ride yesterday in good time raising nearly �700 for the charity.

SERIOUS cyclists and families have ridden from Lincoln to Boston in aid of charity.

The Big Bike Ride for The Butterfly Hospice saw 43 cyclists ride the 33 miles from Lincoln to Boston and 27 cyclists ride from Boston to Langrick return.

Hospice chief executive Judi Byrne thanked those who helped out on the day and said: “We are grateful for this support from local people which enable us to continue our development of the hospice.”

The number of cyclists taking part was an overall increase from last year and the hospice is in the process of collating all pledged sponsorship money.

A family fun event at the Witham Tavern completed the day.
