PICTURE UPDATE: Skegness blaze out - cause being investigated

The fire service have confirmed the warehouse blaze in Skegness has now been extinguished.

They have tweeted to say that crews are ventilating the premises.

No-one was injured, they added.

The fire service said the cause was being investigated.

The blaze was tackled by crews from Spilsby, Alford, Leverton, Skegness and Wainfleet.

EARLIER: There is a major fire in Heath Road Skegness this evening, Saturday September 26.

Six Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue appliances and an aerial platform as well as police are on the scene at the industrial estate tackling the large blaze in a disused warehouse which broke out at 5.30pm.

Eyewitnesses have reported the fire is at the old sweet factory.

The public have been asked to avoid the area by emergency crews.
