Pink tractors will ride through Boston villages in aid of cancer charity

A PARADE of pink tractors will take to the roads on Sunday to raise money for Breast Cancer Research.

The third annual Ladies Tractor Road Run will set off from Lowfields Road, in Benington, at 10.30am.

The pink convoy will make its way to Freiston Ings bridge, through Long Hedges, crossing the A52 at the Ball House towards Hawthorn Tree Corner.

It will then go down Eastwood Road, Church Road, past St Nicholas Church, into Fishtoft, and then onto Freiston where the convoy will rest for a picnic lunch at the Danny Flear Centre.

Everyone is invited to the picnic, whic takes place at about noon. Visitors can view the tractors and enjoy a cake stall and raffle.

After lunch the convoy makes its way through Butterwick, towards the pullover, through Benington, Leverton Outgate and Highgate, and onto Benington, past the Admiral Nelson pub, before returning to Lowfields Road.

A presentation of all the money raised will be made in September.
