Boston Police Cadets have raised £600 for John Fielding Special School.

Children who attend the school have profound and severe learning difficulties, including autism. Boston Police cadets have worked with these young people and the staff who teach and care for them.

The money was raised earlier this year, when the cadets did a three-mile sponsored walk wearing fancy dress and carrying buckets of water balanced on old riot shields which they were not allowed to spill.

The cadets wished to make another effort to raise funds before the year finished and the Boston B and M Bargains shop, management and staff, very kindly invited cadets to do a bag pack over four Saturdays.

Pc Martyn Chambers added: “It is a wonderful pleasure to be able to announce that a total of £1400.00 has been collected through the bag packing.

“So this year, Boston police cadets have raised £2000.00 for the John Fielding Community Special School which we so hope will enable students to go on a trip of a lifetime to Paris.”
