Police investigating a serious road accident earlier this month have reissued their appeal for witnesses – and this time they have done it in a number of languages.
Officers investigating a collision on November 3 have released a poster in four Eastern European languages in a bid to try and obtain information from people who do not speak English as their first language.
The posters will be put up at gyms, employment agencies and at social venues around the town.
A 60-year-old pedestrian was hit by a red Citroen Xantia car in the collision at the junction of Willoughby Road and Bargate Bridge, which happened at about 11am.
The woman was taken to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham and remains in a critical condition.
Police are now trying to identify the people travelling in the vehicle.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the witness collision hotline on 01522 558855.
