Police negotiators helped a distressed man down from the roof of Boston’s Post Office on Saturday.
Emergency services were called at 7.25pm by one of the town rangers after a 31-year-old local man had gained access to the roof of the post office in Wide Bargate.
A cordon was put in place to allow specially-trained negotiators to attend and engage with the man, and the incident was resolved by 9pm.
A police spokesman said: “The man was in a distressed state. He was put into the care of staff at Boston Pilgrim hospital with no requirement for further police action.”
