Boston and Skegness MP Mark Simmonds has announced he is to resign from Government.
Mr Simmonds, handed in his resignation to Prime Minister David Cameron on August 4 and it was accepted on August 7.
In his resignation letter he also states he has decided not to stand at the next General Election.
In his letter, he writes: “It has been a huge privilege to serve in your Government, particularly in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as well as having been the Member of Parliament for Boston and Skegness.”
