The deadline for flood victims hoping to claim relief on their council tax and business rates has been extended, it has been revealed today (Tuesday).
A council spokesman said the new deadline to apply for relief is Monday, April 14, meaning people have an extra two weeks to get their applications in.
Under the relief Boston Borough Council could grant a council tax exemption for up to three months if criteria laid down by Government and within the policy is met.
Eligible business may qualify for three months exemption from paying their business rates.
