Plans to change a lorry park near the Port of Boston into a council depot have been passed today (Tuesday).
Councillors voted unanimously to allow the plans for the park on St John’s Road, Boston, at a planning meeting this afternoon.
The scheme includes the demolition of the former Coops Cafe cabin and public toilets and the erection of a storage building and parking,
Two letters of objections had been received, and councillors also raised concerns over the loss of the toilets which lorry drivers currently use when visiting the port.
However, Coun Derek Richmond stated that he thought the dock should provide that facility.
No representations had been made by neighbouring residential properties
