Volunteers are still being recruited for the eighth annual Big Boston Clean-up, being held from Monday-Thursday next week.

There will be opportunities for teams of neighbours, friends and relatives to work together, helping clean their own areas.

You can sign up now using the online pledge form http://tinyurl.com/kt7uqeo by contacting Jen Moore at Boston Borough Council on 01205 314583 or by emailing Jen at jenny.moore@boston.gov.uk

She said volunteers need to wear clothing appropriate to anticipated weather conditions and stout
footwear.

Everything else – high-visibility vests, litter pickers, sacks and gloves and even coffee, biscuits and lunch are provided.

Over the past seven years 5,000 volunteers have got involved, lifting more than 71 tonnes of rubbish from the streets and waterways of the town.

The clean-up starts each day at 9am at Municipal Buildings in West
Street.
