THE new visitor facilities at Boston Stump will be given a royal seal of approval when a very special visitor comes to sample the new resources.
HRH Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, will come to St Botolph’s Church tomorrow afternoon to officially open the new community and visitor facilities.
While she is at the churc - from about 3.30pm - she will attend a short service of dedication conducted by the Bishop of Lincoln, and will unveil a plaque commemorating the visit.
The royal will also meet some of the donors who have made the work possible and view the ongoing restoration work on the north face of the Stump’s tower.
Vicar of Boston Canon Robin Whitehead said: “After many years of planning and seeking the finance the church has finally completed its new community and visitor project and we are delighted to welcome our patron to formally open the new facilities.
“We are especially delighted to welcome Her Royal Highness in this, a very special year, for the royal family.”
