A VILLAGE pub has raised £1,000 cash for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

The Black Bull, on London Road, Kirton, has presented the money to the service which it had raised through monthly quiz nights.

Organiser Diane Clarke said: “We were delighted to be donating this money.

“It’s a very popular quiz night.”

The pub’s quiz nights cost £1 to enter.

The prizes are donated and the money is saved up throughout the year to donate to the pub’s chosen charity.

The ambucopter, established in 1994, is able to get to accidents quickly and provides support for emergency services.

It is also able to quickly get patients to hospital and can reach any destination in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire in 19 minutes.

The next quiz night is on Sunday at 8pm.
