Students and staff at Thomas Cowley High School have taken part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day today.

A spokesman for the Donington school said: “The day was a great success and Thomas Cowley High School raised £386.20p for the charity.”

The nation-wide fundraising day sees people donning festive knits to raise cash for Save the Children.

The charity promotes children’s rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries.
