A QUARTET of string and oboe musicians from London will be performing at the South Holland Centre, Spalding, on Friday, June 10.
Members of the London Mozart Players (LMP), who have been South Holland District’s resident orchestra since June 2008, will be playing from 7.30pm thanks to sponsorship from friends of Action Medical Research.
The programme will include Schubert String Trio in B flat, Mozart String Trio in E flat, Mozart Oboe Quartet in F major and Françaix Cor Anglais Quartet.
The LMP have run workshops with schools and communities alongside concerts and enjoyed performing to a sell-out audience at the South Holland Centre to launch the first South Holland Food Festival in July 2010.
The funding for the residency ended in November 2010, and South Holland District Council are working with Orchestra’s Live and the LMP to source funding to continue the successful residency
While this work continues, Spalding committee of Action Medical Research has stepped in to bring this quartet of musicians back to South Holland.
All proceeds will go to Action Medical Research, the leading UK-wide medical research charity dedicated to helping babies and children.
It works to tackle premature birth, sick and vulnerable babies, help children affected by disability, disabling conditions and infections and target rare diseases that severely affect many children.
Tickets £13 (£7.50 under-16s and students)
