EVERYBODY likes to relax with a nice cup of tea or coffee every now and then – but your brew will taste even more refreshing if you are helping those in need with every sip.
And that is exactly what happens with the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which helps to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Now in its 22nd year, people in Boston have been supporting the cause for many years, and 2012 is no exception.
A number of events will be taking place in and around the town both on the official day – this Friday – and on other dates around then. Some have already taken place, including an event in Gosberton.
The coffee morning is the biggest fundraising effort organised by the charity, and over the years it has grown into a huge nationwide event.
In 2011, more than 51,000 people signed up for the initiative and helped to raise a staggering £10 million – a record for the charity.
This year, local events are due to take place at:
l Wrangle Parish Hall, at 10am, on Friday.
l The old Farm Park cafe, Stickney, at 10.30am on Friday.
l Gosberton Church Hall, at 10am today (Wednesday).
