MORE than 60 people attended a presentation evening held by the Freiston and District Royal British Legion, which raised £240 for this year’s Poppy Appeal.
The free event took place at Leverton Leisure Centre, where 10 house to house collectors were presented with certificates and awards by principal recruitment officer for the county Bridget Wilcox. Also attending were the Mayor and Mayoress of Boston Couns Mary Wright and Maureen Dennis, and chairmen of the parish councils in the branch area. The room was decorated to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion. Photo: DD 080711
