THOSE planning to participate in the Jubillee Ultra-Run from now have the option of taking part as relay teams.
The 66-mile Turnbull Jubilee Ultra-Race and Challenge is set to take place across the weekend of June 23-24.
It will see participating individuals and teams from all over the UK running and walking the old ‘water railway’ route from Boston to Lincoln and back.
Each sponsored participant can run to raise money for the charity of their choice.
Organiser Peter Arnott, from Boston and District Athletic Club (BADAC), said: “It’s very exciting as it’s the year of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics, so it is a great way for people to get involved in the spirit of those great occasions.”
He added: “We’ve had entries from all over the country so far, so it’s lining up to be a great event.”
Military groups, local schools businesses and organisations have been invited to take part.
Participants each get a commemorative medal and t-shirt and there are several prizes.
Entry forms are available from the Boston Standard office in Church Lane, Boston.
