Rock out at the Axe and Cleaver

THE AXE and Cleaver will be filled with the sounds of rock this week as three tribute nights and an open mic night take place.

On Friday, Over_Covered will be playing at the West Street venue.

They play tributes and covers of classic rock songs.

On Saturday, New Tonic, who also cover rock songs, will also be playing.

On Sunday, the mic will be opened to the floor as guests are allowed to take to the stage.

Finally, on Tuesday, Boston-band Townsend will be playing.

Townsend are a four-piece band who play a range of covers from rock ‘n’ roll to modern hits mixed with mod and punk.

It includes a mixture of influences from The Beatles to The Ramones and from The Jam to Oasis.

Their members consist of Rick Hardy on vocals and guitar, Jason Twiddy on lead guitar, Matt Gardner on bass and backing vocals and Adam Bell on Drums.

All events start at about 9pm.
