Room for improvement! Elliott gives Boston United his half-term report

Craig Elliott has given Boston United a favourable half-term report - but he knows there is still room for improvement within his squad.

Tomorrow’s Boxing Day clash with Alfreton (KO 3pm) will see the Pilgrims play their 21st National League North contest of the campaign.

And victory over the Reds would see United almost on track for the manager’s request of 20 wins for the season with 50 per cent of the fixtures completed.

“I think we’re six points behind where I wanted us to be,” Elliott said.

“My target is 20 wins for the season and 10 wins by half way, so we’re not far off that.

“I think we’re in touching distance of where I wanted us to be.

“How we could have got there could have been smoother but, even so, we’re thereabouts.”
