IT’S horses for courses and pounds for hounds at this year’s 40th annual Cancer Horse and Dog Show.
The lively charity event, which last year raised £1,500 for Cancer Research UK, is set to take place at Boston’s Rosebery Avenue playing fields on Sunday, May 20.
Show secretary Tina Staples said: “It’s a special one this year as it has been 40 years since the show was started by Pat and Mark Barthorpe and friends.”
The show begins at 9am with a whole host of competitions, activities and stalls to interest dog lovers and riders alike.
Classes include showjumping, dressage, gymkhana games, dog agility, six pedigree dog classes and 13 novelty dog classes.
Tina added: “The show has been very fortunate to have had the utmost support from Boston Borough Council which has allowed the Rosebery Avenue playing field to host the show free of charge throughout this time.”
