Food donated as part of a school harvest festival has gone towards helping homeless and vulnerable people in Boston. Pupils and staff at St Mary’s Primary School held their harvest festival assembly last week - where the food was given to Centrepoint Outreach homeless charity. Charity representatives Liz Hopkins and Liz Steadman were there to accept the donation. They thanked the children and parents and explained where the food would be going.
A spokesman for the school said: “This is a very worthwhile cause - especially as the weather is getting colder as they need all the support they can get to help those in need.”
