Set police agenda

VILLAGERS in Stickney, Stickford and Sibsey are being asked to help set policing priorities in their area by joining the local Neighbourhood Panel.

Lincolnshire Police is appealing for new members for the villages’ panel to act as representatives for the community at meetings with the area’s Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Based on these discussions, the panel sets priorities for the villages and then works with police and other agencies to tackle them.

Pc Matt Dickinson, the community beat manager for the area, said: “I am looking for anyone who wishes to make a difference to their community and help set the agenda for policing within their area by identifying the priorities for their villages.

“Spaces are limited so please come forward as soon as possible.”

The panel meet every three months at a location convenient to members.

Each meeting lasts about an hour and a representative of the Neighbourhood Policing Team attends.

Anyone interested in taking part can call Pc Dickinson on 07939 984844 or Spilsby Police Station on 0300 111 0300.
