They are used to losing pounds but now big-hearted slimmers in Boston have turned their attention to raising them.
Members of the Peter Paine Slimming World group collected 13 bags of clothes they have successfully slimmed out.
The effort will raise money for Cancer Research UK as part of the national fundraising campaign, the ‘Big Slimming World Clothes Throw’.
Helen Leak, who runs the Boston group, encouraged members, friends and families to collect the clothes, shoes and accessories they no longer need to generate stock for the charity’s shop in Boston.
They were so confident they would keep the pounds off they decided to bag up their old clothes.
Helen said: “This year’s event has been a fantastic success and I was overwhelmed by the amount of bags my members managed to collect for Cancer Research UK – they really are amazing.”
