More snow fell overnight, disrupting travel and closing schools in the Skegness area.

Lncolnshire Highways took to social media to warn motorists that in spite of gritting A and B roads overnight, they can still be icy.

Stagecoach East Midlands services to Skegness and Chapel St Leonards have been disrupted, with service 1 and 59 are unable to reach Trunch Lane and South Road until the road reopens

Schools in our area that are closed because of snow, include Alford Primary School and Great Steeping Primary School.

A Yellow warning for snow remains in place for Wednesday. According to the Met Office snow showers will continue during the day, probably turning lighter and less frequent inland by evening, with some bright or sunny spells

Northeasterly winds will be a little less strong. Very cold. Maximum temperature 2 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Drier and brighter during Thursday with light winds, Strong southeasterly winds developing for Friday and Saturday with a chance of snow - mainly later on Saturday. Staying very cold.
