Spectre will get rude at the Axe

GET out those old Doc Martens, dust down the pork pie hat and get ready for some good old moonstomping.

Ska and 2 Tone favourites The Spectre are back in town on Saturday... and that means great news for the rude boys and girls.

The Hull-based five-piece are favourites on the scooter scene as they lively up the audience with their take on classics by the likes of The Specials, The Selecter, The Beat, The Bodysnatchers, Bad Manners and Madness.

All the skanking favourites will be there from the late 70s and early 80s.

Since forming six years ago, the group have supported their heroes The Beat and Bad Manners, while also playing with Roddy Radiation, the legendary Specials lead guitarist.

The Spectre are Rachel (vox, trumpet, keyboards), Paul (vox, guitar), Dave (vox, bass), Chris (vox, sax) and Alan (drums).

They will be returning to perform at Boston’s Axe and Cleaver on Saturday.
