Spotted Boston's shepherd and sheep are missing? They are coming back

Concern has been raised over the disappearance of the shepherd and his sheep from Boston's Wide Bargate roundabout.

However, Boston Borough Council has confirmed that the temporary wooden structures which were in place have been removed to make way for metal replacements.

The wooden silhouettes were donated to the town by former businessman Garth Issac in 2015 and were always intended to be replaced by more durable steel plate structures.

Mr Issac, who has since died, said at the time he wanted to highlight the historical importance of the wool trade to Boston.

The sheep are modelled on the Lincolnshire Longwools kept at North Sea Camp in Freiston.
