Staff raise ‘magnificent’ amount for injured troops

CHARITABLE staff at a legal firm in Boston have helped raise a ‘magnificent’ sum for wounded troops.

Chattertons Solicitors, which has two offices in the town, has raised £1,271.20 for Help for Heroes, its chosen charity for 2010.

The sum was raised through a variety of means, but £750 of the total came from a charity fun day where staff from across the firm donated raffle prizes and took part in activities and games.

Senior partner Peter Lawson, a member of the Business Service Team in Boston, said: “I would like to thank all our staff who have contributed in so many different ways.”

Katie Wilson, county co-ordinator for the charity, described the sum as ‘magnificent’ and echoed Mr Lawson’s thanks.
