Sutterton fatality named as police seek out dog walker

The name of the man who died following a collision in Sutterton has been revealed by police, who are looking for witnesses to the incident – especially a dog walker.

Maurice Abrams, of Wygate Road, in Spalding, died following the incident last Wednesday in which he was driving a silver Peugeot 206 that emerged from the B1397 onto the A17 from east to west and collided with a white Ford Focus travelling South to Norfolk.

Mr Abrams, 83, was taken to Queens Medical Centre, in Nottingham, with serious injuries but died on Friday

Collision investigation officer Matt Carpenter said: “We are still trying to trace a number of witnesses who assisted at the scene, including a woman who was walking her dog. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Collision Witness Hotline on 01522 558855”.
