A BOSTON woman has completed a mile-long swim in open water to raise more than £700 for the town’s Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB).

Kirsty Taylor, who works in admin at the Boston CAB, and volunteers as a gateway assessor, took part in the Great East Swim event at Anton Park reservoir in Ipswich, with a finish time of 42m 2s.

She said: “I would have been faster if I hadn’t had to stop repeatedly to de-mist my goggles.”

Kirsty said the money will help to raise awareness that the CAB is an independent charity, adding: “Most people don’t seem to realise this.”
