BOSTON tattoo artist Ronnie Goddard has added another two awards to his already impressive tally.

The 27-year-old collected trophies at the recently held East Coast Tattoo Expo 2010 in the Male Large and Small Black and Grey categories.

Ronnie, of Church Lane, saw off international competition at the event in Essex to collect the awards. It takes his total to 19.

“It’s all good,” he said. “It keeps me going. Other artists from all over the world are getting better, so it keeps me on my toes.”

The winning Male Large design is called Angels Versus Demons and took more than 20 hours to complete across a number of sittings. It is tattooed on the back of Jed Green, 34, of Stickney, and is the third of Jed’s tattoos to collect an award at such a show.

“It’s getting quite normal,” he said.

The Small Black and Grey tattoo is on Craig Young, 20, of Boston, and is a mask design on his left arm. It is his first tattoo to receive an award for the artist.

“I really like that one,” he said. “That’s my favourite.”
