Test Match Special star Henry Blofeld bowls over Rotarians at fundraising event

Larger-than-life Test Match Special star Henry Blofeld entertained guests at a charity event hosted by the Rotary Club of Boston.

Blowers - a regular contributor to the popular Radio 4 cricket show - spoke to an audience of 80 at the Boston and County Club.

He regaled the crowd with entertaining tales of his work on the radio and spoke about the skills of such greats as John Arlott and Christopher Martin Jenkins.

After taking questions from the floor he also gave a book signing.

The evening made a profit of £924 which will be divided between Children With Cancer and St Barnabas Trust, Boston.

A further £60 was donated to Children With Cancer.

The evening came about thanks to the support of Jeremy Elmer.
