A four-year-old child model is the star of a new TV car advert being screened in 81 countries around the world.
Franklyn Kendrick shows off his budding acting talent in the the new Seat Leon car advert - which he spent four days in Barcelona shooting.
Proud parents Chris and Janine Kendrick say seeing their son on the television is ‘exciting, but surreal’.
“Since the advert was first screened at the beginning of September, we’ve had so many messages from family and friends excited that they had seen him on television,” said Janine, 30. “It’s been really surreal.
“He’s really enjoying it all and has already said he would like to film another one.
“The cast and crew were brilliant with him and he made them all laugh several times.
“He got on really well with the actor who played his dad in the advert and was really sad when we had to say goodbye to him.
“My husband sadly couldn’t be at the filming in Barcelona but I saw what was being filmed so it was really interesting to see how it was all edited together.”
Franklyn won the role through child modelling agency Urban Angels, which the couple signed him up to after people kept commenting on his striking eyes and cheeky smile.
“The advert is the first film or television work he’s done, but he has modelled a photoshoot for Tesco’s spring clothing range before,” said Janine.
The couple were both educated in Boston, Chris at Boston Grammar School having grown up in the area, and Janine at Boston College. They now live in Lincoln.
Janine added: “Franklyn has started school this September and I think he is going to end up being the class clown. as he really does command an audience and enjoys making people laugh.”
The couple are now concentrating on Franklyn settling in school, but will continue to pursue roles for him if he is happy to do them..
