Time to remember at combined service of thanksgiving

VETERANS and local dignitaries gathered together for a service to mark historic moments in conflicts involving UK Forces last week.

The combined service of thanksgiving and commemoration for the evancuation of Dunkirk, the Normandy Landings and the end of the Korean War took place at Boston’s war memorial in Wide Bargate on Wednesday – 68 years to the day since over 5,000 allied boats landed on the beach at Normandy in the D-Day invastions.

Father Chris Wedge, who is based at Boston Stump, officiated the service.
