Touring metal band ready to rock Axe

A NIGHT of alternative metal music is returning to the Axe and Cleaver as a band revisits Boston.

Derbyshire-based NG26 will be performing at the West Street venue, on Friday, from 8pm.

The band consists of Chris Topley on lead vocals, Jon Topley on drums and percussion, Rich Shaw on guitar and Rob Shaw on bass.

The gig is part of their Open Your Mind tour which celebrates the release of their new CD of the same name.

The band say their influences include Metallica, Queen, Alter Bridge, Disturbed, Thin Lizzy, Kiss, Pantera, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Stone Sour, Slipknot, Dream Theatre and The Who.

They will be supported by Lincoln-based band Nightvision who have been gigging around the area since 2005.

They consist of bassist Dean Hocking, vocalist Dave McKee, guitarist Bolda and drummer Daryl Hocking.

The gig starts at 8pm. Entry is free.
