LOSING a loved one can be an extremely difficult and often lonely time.

Getting outside and in the company of others can often be a good step towards coming to terms with your loss.

And now the Boston-branch of a national bereavement charity is inviting people to join them on a special tranquil walk to remember their loved ones and meet others in a similar sitation.

Boston and District Cruse, which offers support and counselling for bereaved people, is holding its first sponsored walk on May 20 from 2-4pm.

Called Footprints: Walk and Remember, the event will see participants walk in the tranquil natural setting of Boston Woods, starting off from the recently-developed Jenny’s Wood, at West End Road, Boston.

The charity says the event offers a great opportunity to enjoy a pleassnt walk, chat to others and raise much-needed funds for its bereavement support service.

On its website, the charity states: “Death is a part of life, and grieving a natural process. Cruse is committed to breaking the stigma around grief and ensuring that everyone, no matter how old or young, can access the highest quality support following a bereavement.”

Registration for the event is £5 per person, or £10 per family taking part together.
