Collision caused town centre gridlock

TRAFFIC was held up for over an hour and a half in Boston this afternoon, following a collision between two cars on the A16 Spalding Road.

A silver Vauxhall Omega and a red Mini Cooper collided on the road between the Liquorpond roundabout and the London Road roundabout at about 11.15am, police said.

Nobody was injured in the incident, but the accident was not cleared until almost 1pm, causing traffic to back up around the area.

Traffic in that area is now running as normal.
