A MOTORIST has been left in a serious condition after he was involved in a collision in Coningsby in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday).
The 32-year-old man, who is from Coningsby, suffered severe injuries to his ribs, back and head when his car left the road on a bend on Dogdyke Road and overturned at around 1.55am. The silver Peugeot 206 came to rest in the dyke.
He was taken to Pilgrim Hospital, but later transferred to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. He underwent surgery last night and his condition has been described as serious but stable.
The road was closed for several hours and re-opened at about 8.15am.
