Anglian Water bosses have thanked motorists for their patience after sewer repairs forced a section of the A52 in Boston town centre to close at the weekend.
The work - which closed the busy road between Carlton Road and Brothertoft Road - was originally planned for last Wednesday but was postponed until Saturday to avoid clashing with the Wednesday market day and rush-hour traffic.
The work was finished yesterday, avoiding a potential clash with this morning’s rush-hour.
Anglian Water spokesman Emma Staples said; “The sewer repairs went off without a hitch and the road re-opened yesterday (Sunday) evening at 8pm.
“We would like to thank road users and residents of Boston and the surrounding villages for their patience while we carried out the work. We would also like to extend our thanks to the local Council and Network Rail who we worked with to ensure the job was completed swiftly and efficiently.”
