Authorities have brought several roadworks schemes together in Boston to be done at the same time to ‘prevent them having to close the road again in the near future’.
The works on the A52 Sleaford Road, in Boston, between Lister Way and Brothertoft Road will include jobs by Anglian Water and The Highways Alliance.
It will mean the section of road will be closed from 6pm on Saturday until 6am on Monday, March 2, including Carlton Road roundabout.
Lincolnshire County Council’s area highways manager Andy Wharff said: “Anglian Water and other utilities need the road clear of traffic to complete essential maintenance works.
“The Highways Alliance has taken this opportunity to carry out a number of maintenance works including emergency signal repairs and gully emptying works.
“We accept that this will cause some disruption to the travelling public and apologise for that, but carrying out this work in one operation will prevent us from having to close this road again in the near future.”
Traffic will be diverted via Lister Way, Fydell Street, Argyle Street and Brothertoft Road.
