UPDATE: Section of busy A16 road was closed after ‘three vehicle’ incident

A three-vehicle incident on the Spalding side of the Sutterton roundabout yesterday (Tuesday) resulted in only minor injuries to one of the drivers, police say.

A police spokesman said emergency services were called to the accident between a Saab, a Rover 45 and a VW Golf, at about 6.25pm.

They said nobody required medical attention for serious injuries howeverthe driver of the Saab suffered minor injuries.

All three vehicles had to be recovered meaning that section of the A16 was closed until between 8.30-9pm.

Tuesday, 7.18pm - A section of the A16 - Spalding side of Sutterton roundabout - is closed after an accident this evening.

Details are limited but the incident took place at around 6.30pm.

A motorist, who was redirected by police, said the accident appeared to involve three vehicles and paramedics were on scene.
