The Boston Standard is celebrating after picking up three titles at a publishing awards ceremony last night.

The paper won the Best Use of Digital Platforms, Small Weekly Title of the Year and the overall Title of the Year categories at the inaugral Johnston Press Awards.

The titles were handed out at an event at the Marriott Hotel in Peterborough and were contested by papers throughout England, Scotland and Ireland.

Standard editor Stephen Stray said: “I’m delighted for everyone associated with the Boston Standard and immensely proud of the team.

“The nominees were of an extremely calibre and I’m thrilled we’ve been held in such high regard.

“I’d also like to thank our readers and advertisers for their continued support across all of our platforms.”

The awards mark a successful end to a period in which the paper celebrated its centenary, relaunched with a new design and became the first title in the county to have its own iPad app.
