ANGLIAN Water have apologised to customers in the Market Place and surrounding areas of Boston after a ‘third party’ damaged a water pipe.

As reported earlier today (Friday) the Market Place was flooded by the pipe with water spraying out of the ground up to five feet-high opposite KFC.

It has resulted in the water supply to surrounding businesses being shut off.

An Anglian Water spokesman said: “We apologise to customers in Market Square and surrounding areas of Boston who currently have no water or low water pressure.”

He added it had been caused by ‘third party damage’ to the equipment and they were working hard to restore the supply.

Properties should see their water supply return in the next hour.
