UPDATE: Man sent for trial at crown court following robbery at Esso garage in Boston

A man accused of robbing the Esso Garage on John Adams Way and threatening a person with a blade, has been sent to appear at Lincoln Crown Court.

Simon O’Connor, 35, of no fixed abode, appeared before Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today (Friday), where he was remanded into custody to appear at the court for the start of his trial on November 14, 2016.

He faces one charge of robbery and one of threatening a person with a blade following the incident which police say took place yesterday (Thursday) at about 5am.

O’Connor gave no indication of his plea at this time.

Friday, 11.33am - A man is due to appear before Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today (Friday) following an alleged robbery at the Esso garage, on John Adams Way, in Boston.

The Chief Constable of Lincolnshire Police Neil Rhodes has praised his team for the ‘swift arrest and charge’ of O’Connor.

He tweeted; “Great result by local officers.”
