Vehicle ends up in ditch following collision in New York

A CAR had to be recovered from a ditch near New York Primary School last night (Thursday).

A police spokesman said police were called to New York Road outside E.T Morris at 6.45pm following the incident.

The incident involved a blue Peugeot 407 driven by a 55 year-old-man from Horncastle, a Vauxhall Corsa driven by a 19-year-old woman from New York.

A lorry was also at the scene, however police have classed the incident as a two vehicle road collision.

No one was hurt, however the drivers were shaken.

The road was closed shortly while the vehicle was recovered from the ditch.
